The area where the Broken Mountains meet the Giant’s Tableland is known as the Scarred lands. The streams, rivers and runoff from the mountains all drain through the rocky terrain and away underground. The clefts and chasms formed here have red sandy soil deposits from the water runoff, giving the appearance of ‘bloody’ scars.
The main stream flowing from Rinn Valley actually pools into a small lake before disappearing into the stone below. Like the ‘scars’, the lakebed is covered in the same red soil deposits, earning it the name Sanguine Lake.
New Info: Monstrous humanoids are rumored to still roam the area, using the deeper clefts and chasms as hiding places for their raids. The area once had an older name, but none mention it now out of superstition.
